BINDINGS
The Blizzard binding components are a very important element of the innovative
IQ ski-, binding system. Customized for the IQ system, the Blizzard 07/08
bindings offer a maximum level of protection and comfort.
The Blizzard binding technology has continuously been enhanced and improved to make it the safest and most high performance available in the market today. The IQ ski-binding systems of the 07/08 Blizzard line are the ideal sports equipment for all ability levels of skiers, from the top freeriders and freestylers, to beginners and juniors.
PROTECTION
The new and improved toe piece, with it’s two gliding rollers, now provides
less friction when releasing the ski boot and optimizes the adherence and
return forces. The Backward Release Control (BRC), in conjunction with the Anti
Friction Device (AFD), provides a multi-axial release. These features, together
with the automatic toe height adjustment, result in unparalleled safety and
protection.
The lateral and vertical elasticity of the heelpiece provides a “permanent filter” from unwanted releases. To guarantee precise release values, each binding gets computer-measured and tested. The DIN scale is then printed by laser technology in the correct location on the toe and heel housings.
COMFORT
The “skeleton construction” binding design, for the heavy components of the
bindings, has been extended to almost all binding models. Through this
technology, Blizzard has been able to reduce the weight of the lightest ski-/
binding system too less than 2kg (4.4 lbs). This results in more comfort when
carrying and skiing on our products. Compared to conventional ski-, binding
systems the weight reduction averages about 10%. The end result is extremely
light binding systems that offer safe, effortless skiing with less fatigue.
The TC (Twin Cam) and Compact heel offers additional comfort when stepping in or out of the binding.
Mounting any Blizzard IQ system is simple and very fast. With a few simple steps, mounting is achieved without drilling and with only one centrally fixed screw!

The Blizzard IQ Freeski binding system is a High Performance binding system
with a walking/touring option. This system provides excellent skiing
performance, strong lateral stability, maximum safety and protection, and
extremely easy functionality. Off-piste walking comfort is guaranteed.
The Blizzard IQ Junior binding system sets a new ski industry standard in junior binding system technology. The IQ Junior system is a very simple, completely screw free and tool free mounting system. It features extremely easy adjustment for all junior ski boots ranging from 135mm to 325 mm (5.3 to 12.8 inches).
